Yarn Shops in Finland

I have now travelled around Finland under past year so mentioning yarn paradises I have met during my era of knitting.

Helsinki:

Lankamaailma Nordia. Kauppakeskus Ogeli.
This is the largest yarn store in Scandinavia. The speciality are stock price bags that I also have bought several. No Novita-yarns, but a lot better stuff.

To find:
Take a train from Helsinki City Centrum to Oulunkylä. It's a local train, choose one that goes to direction of Tikkurila or Kerava and stops in Oulunkylä. Go to the very first, or if the train is long, to the last carriage, because the platform is quite long. The shopping center the store is located in is on your left when coming from the centrum. It's small and rather difficult to see from the platform but there it is by the railway.

Jyväskylä:

Poppeli. A small yarn store, a Drops reseller. http://www.poppeli.fi/
Titityy. Not been there. http://www.titityy.fi/
Pikkulinna. A nice small store. http://www.pikkulinna.fi/index.php

Närpiö:
Närpes Handarbetsaffär. Good quality yarns and a really broad selection. Small store prices but good finds in Sale-boxes. http://www.craftchest.fi/

Parkano:
Kehräämö Lankasuuli. There goes a funny little road upwards a little bit after the library when you come from the centrum. The store is actually larger you could imagine and the elderly gentleman promised the prices to be lower than elsewhere. Actually, it was so. This is my favourite yarn store in Pirkanmaa. They have old yarns you cannot find elsewhere.

Tampere:
Lankamaailma Nordia. Lielahti suburb. This store is smaller than the one in Helsinki but the prices are equally nice. http://www.lankamaailmanordia.fi/myymala/lankamaailmatampere
